Manufacture times:
Our
standard manufacture time is 4 weeks, as most of our products are made to order for each customer. We do offer a rush
order service for those with less time available. During busier periods we also work in wedding date order (this
you will be asked at checkout). Most brides give themselves plenty of time before the big day, often ordering months beforehand,
shortly after choosing their gown, but for those of you with less than a month to go, we also offer the following service.
Rush order Service- £10.00
This
option is for those of you with less than 4 weeks to go, it includes a fee for processing your rush order and the shipping
via Special delivery once the veil has been manufactured, the rush fee therefore works out to be £4.00. We cannot guarantee
any dates if you do not choose this option and we will not be able to hurry it along for you. We appreciate your understanding
in this matter and ask that you try not to ask for a rush order unless its absolutely necessary as rush orders delay
the waiting time for the non rush orders.
Illusions bridal veils, headpieces and bridal jewellery are shipped from America where they
are based. Although they are shipped very quickly from stock, they have to make it all the way over here first so
still allow yourself 3-4 weeks to account for any shipping delays which could occur.
Backorder items
Occasionally Illusions
bridal tiaras, jewellery and veils do have a limited amount of stock on backorder merchandise. If you need an item sooner than the date available below, please e-mail us to see if we have any stock left on that item (All other collections including custom orders are never on backorder
as they are made to order)
Rush Orders. We can usually accommodate
rush orders on most veils so please do ask.
Payment Methods (payments will be shown
in British pounds, Euro's and U.S Dollars at checkout, see shipping charges for orders from outside the UK below)
We
currently accept payments by all major credit/debit cards though ProtX, cheque or postal order. Custom order payments will
be requested via an e-mail containing a link to the checkout pages.
VAT All prices are subject to VAT at checkout as of 01/04/08, our registration
number is 928 6339 88.
Privacy Policy
Contact
information including email address, telephone number, address, etc. which is provided by the user is used solely for the
purpose of completing the order. Financial information including credit card numbers, expiration dates, billing address is
used solely to bill the customer for their order.
Returns policy
For Veils. (Different policies apply to custom
made items see below)
Returns
will be accepted and credited (less postage) on veils that have been ordered from the site providing they meet the following
criteria;
- We are notified of
any problem regarding the order as soon as it is received ( as veils are made from such delicate fabric we must insist that
you check your veil over carefully as soon as you open it so that we can be sure the problem occurred prior to opening)
- They are returned
postmarked within 7 days of receipt
- They show no signs
of damage or excess handling (unless previously notified on the day of receipt)
- They are packaged
with care in their original box
- They were not a custom
order item (ordered via the custom order form or by e-mail in a style not illustrated on site)- these are non returnable according
to the distance selling regulation (damaged goods will be replaced with an identical item)
- They are suitable
for resale
Custom Made Veils
These are non returnable as
they have been made to your specification and we have no way of offering them to another customer. For a detailed look at

If a custom made item
is found to be defective in any way you must notify us immediately on the day of receipt and return it to us within the 7
day return period, it will be replaced with an identical item and all postage costs will be paid by The Wedding
Veil Shop.
No returns will be accepted
for any reason after the 7 day period to ensure they haven't been worn and returned.
Polite Request: We do make all veils to order - even the non custom order veils, so we
would kindly ask that you didn't order more than one veil to help you to decide, with the intention of returning the other
one(s) we have made for you. If it turns out your first choice wasn’t quite right, then you could reorder and try again.
We have worked hard to make the site as full of lovely, detailed images as possible, to help with your choice. We also offer
a sample service to get the colour right before ordering, and of course, the benefit of buying from us rather than your local
bridal shop where you can try them on, is the huge choice, the custom service and
the reduced prices.
For Tiaras
Returns will be accepted on
tiaras, providing they are in their original condition, within 7 days from receipt.
Cancellation policy
Orders may be cancelled
within 7 days of receipt (excluding rush order - custom made veils which have already been made to fit your
timeframe within the 7 days)
Delivery prices
The delivery prices are as
follows;
1st Class recorded -standard
manufacture times £4.00 (manufucature 4 weeks).
Special Delivery -standard manufacture times £6.25
(manufacture 4 weeks)
Rush order service- plus special
delivery £10.00 inclusive (manufacture 1-2 weeks or date to be pre-arranged)
Orders from outside the UK
-standard manufacture time £10.00 (manufacture 4 weeks, rush orders unavailable)
